Letter of Introduction
|
My name is Alison Ritz. I am a senior at Lake Shore High School. My dream career is to be a lawyer someday. I do the best I can in all my classes to succeed and reach my goals. My favorite subject in school is American Literature or any form of music class. I am a very responsible, hard working, and caring person and I am always willing to help those stuck in a dilemma. After school I spend a lot of time with my friends, family, and occasionally I horseback ride.
In the future, I hope to reach my goal of becoming a lawyer. I am always trying to get the truth out of people and I try to give them the best advice I can, if I can. If being a lawyer doesn’t become a career path I enjoy, I would like to go into something involving the music industry. I really just want to do whatever I can to be successful and happy in life. School has been a very important part of my life. I have always set goals for myself to be a hard working and responsible person. I have always been top of my class since elementary school and I intend on keeping that through the years of my further education. This coming fall I will be starting the Early College of Macomb Program. This allows me to be dual-enrolled in both Lake Shore High School and The Community College of Macomb. I also try to do extracurricular activities involving my school. I am apart of both the Musical and Drama Club and I was in band for four years. I am going to attempt to join the Choir program at my school. A quote that has continued to inspire me is from one of my favorite artists, Christofer Drew Ingle- “You’re only as tall as your heart will let you be and you’re only as small as the world will make you seem.” When I first heard this, I was in the seventh grade. I would constantly stress out over who I was and who I had to be and if I was doing the right thing with my life. I also was always scared that I wasn’t going to amount to anything or just be a waste of space, which is something a eleven year old should never have to worry about. Then one day, when I was having one of my usual panic attacks, I heard this song and the lyrics really spoke to me. It made me realize that if I let myself be me and be happy I’ll flourish into something great. If I let all the bad things in the world stress me out ( school, money, family fights) I will stay small and insignificant. After that I tried to push myself to be more outgoing and do what will make me happy. I tried to avoid the negativity and harshness of the environment around me and now I have a bright future ahead of me. This quote reminds me to keep doing me and not worry about how others might react. |
